OpalHouse Designed with Jungalow - Justina Blakeney's collab with Target
Besides having an all-around cool life story, Justina Blakeney is a designer who I truly vibe with. Her style is bohemian, colorful, whimsical, and textural. I admire her use of rich colors, natural textures, pattern mixing, and plants everywhere…I honestly don’t know how she keeps so many of them alive. I have a single FLF, and it lost three leaves last week!
Her new collab with Target is just wonderful, and it’s one of the only things I left my house for in the last year and a half. I haven’t made many plans recently, but when I found about about her products launching at Target, you know I was there that weekend! I bought her newest book that day, and I’ve been allowing myself to read one chapter at a time. It’s been a true lesson in self control, let me tell you, and I’ve loved every minute.
Here are some of my favorite pieces from the current collection (hover for unsolicited commentary):
Such a pretty pattern that I think really goes with many design/decor styles. Farmhouse it up with black hardware and white tile, or go bohemian and infuse rattan and other natural materials into your bathroom (bonus points for a beautiful blue or green tile with patina).
Just the richest shade of golden orange! I’m not gonna lie, my sofa is this color velvet and it brings me so much joy. Have a neutral sofa or chair? Punch it up with this beauty!
The art in this collection is so versatile. This one gives me modern Picasso vibes, but in a totally modern color palette. Bonus points: it comes in the frame!
This bedding set is so sophisticated, but still super playful. I would mix in some brightly colored sheets and/or a quilt and let this pretty pattern sing.
These are SO good! Just stacking these on top of an average plate would elevate any table. The cool pointed-edge design also comes in a larger plate and a bowl (and they also come in white), so you can totally customize your table.
Such a pretty little accent for any table needing some bling!
Are you picking up on my love for all the B/W in this collection? I’m not sure how it could get any better than a geometric pillow with texture AND tassels.
Looks like a leaf (or maybe a surfboard?) up close, but the zoomed out view is a VERY cool plaid. I’m looking at all my walls now and trying to figure out where I could put this.
More of that sweet, sweet b/w action. I love the whimsical shape of the swirly line down the middle!
Guys…I think peacocks are having a moment. And so are embroidered pillows. So, it would be irresponsible NOT to buy this pillow, right?!?
The moment I saw this lamp, I thought it looked like a dancer in a tutu, and that made me love it even more. We all need more furniture doing double-duty these days, so let’s bring back the lamp/table hybrid.
The classic stripe, but I love how it follows the corner of the napkin. This would punch up any boring tablescape!
I’m getting total elementary gym class vibes, and I’m loving it. Who else remembers scooter day?!?
